Succulents and Cacti are beyond popular right now. There is a huge variety that are diverse in shape and color. They have the ability to store water in their leaves. This allows them to survive in very dry climates.
They are very easy to care for. Almost all varieties like bright light. Over-watering is the most common problem you will encounter. They should be allowed to dry completely before they are watered. Never let them sit in water. The container you choose should have good drainage. If you have a special container in mind, that does not have drainage, it is best to put a layer of rock or pea gravel in the bottom-- and be very careful in watering. Try to avoid getting water on the leaves. Cut back on water in the winter. The growing season is Spring through Fall.
